One thing you should know about me is that I'm not tech saavy.
Technology and I have always had a friends-with-benefits type of relationship. To be truthful, I have abused it-- only ever using technology to satisfy my needs and not for any real commitment (this is all figurative of course). I think I've failed as a modern day teenager. And as most would post, this is definitely a fml moment. In fact, I’ve never completely understood new programs outside of photoshop or Microsoft Word-- especially since I grew up in a very small town where we only reached three channels on our television. I'm that kind of person that knows a ton about the 90s and a spec about the present day technologies. And although as a child I was bedazzled by new gaming systems: Playstation; floppy disks; Gameboy; those all seem ridiculous when you hold them up to a Wii or other game consols --not to mention the large online gaming world.
So being that I am nearly 20, almost to my senior year in college, I figured it was about time to learn about the grown up technological world. Meaning, sadly I need to put the gameboy down. Meaning, happily I am about to start utilizing these thousands of free programs for my own benefit and quite possibly to save the world.
Just kidding about the saving the world part.
But really, what I hope to get out of my CJ_279 Web Design class is a fairly evident. I'd like to have a gateway to the World Wide Web. And this is it.

The 90's were some of the best years that ever existed. I had the original Gameboy.
